Disclosure: Cleanlist AI publishes this page and is second of the 11 tools, labeled as our product. Hunter, Wiza, Prospeo, Findymail and LeadMagic are providers in Cleanlist AI's 25+ provider waterfall, so we credit them after the list, unranked. The order is our editorial pick for a small B2B team and carries no score: tools with a free way in and a published price come first, and quote-only tools come last. We ran no new test for this page. Where we cite an earlier test of ours, we say what it measured.
Apollo leads because one free account covers search, emails and sequences, with 900 credits a seat a year on the free plan and published prices for every paid tier.
The 11 B2B lead finder tools, one by one
1. Apollo: best for a free all-in-one database
Apollo pairs its own database, 240M contacts and 30M companies by Apollo's count, with sequences, a US dialer and CRM sync. Free is $0 with 900 credits a seat a year, granted monthly. Basic is $49 a seat a month, Professional $79 and Organization $119 with 3 seats minimum, all billed annually, with 30,000, 48,000 and 72,000 credits a seat a year. Apollo says annual billing saves 24%. An email costs 1 credit and a phone number 8, and unused credits expire at the end of each billing cycle. In our 100-lead test, Apollo returned a verified email for about 80% of leads and a phone number for about 45%; the benchmark write-up has the method.
Best for: small teams that want to find, email and call from one seat.
2. Cleanlist AI (our product): best for a verified email and phone number on the same row
Disclosure. We make Cleanlist AI. Its 98% verified email and 85% direct dial figures come from our own 500-lead benchmark, which named no other vendor.
Clu, Cleanlist AI's GTM agent, finds buyers across 1B+ profiles from a one-line description, then gets a verified work email and phone number for each person you keep. The MCP server comes with Starter, and HubSpot or Salesforce sync with Pro.
Our product
Cleanlist
Best for: lean GTM teams that want one platform in place of 3 to 5 tools: AI agents that find buyers, get verified emails and phone numbers from 25+ providers and send the sequences.
Cleanlist AI publishes this page. Accuracy figures are from our own benchmark, not a third-party test.
Cleanlist AI runs waterfall enrichment across 25+ data providers in sequence and stops at the first deliverable result, at 1 credit per verified work email and 10 per phone number. A missed email or phone number costs nothing. It returns 98% verified work emails and 85% phone numbers on the Cleanlist AI 500-Lead Enrichment Benchmark, which is our own test run on a 500-lead sample. Plans start at $49 per seat a month.
Clu, Cleanlist AI's GTM agent, turns one sentence into an agent that searches 1B+ profiles, enriches and verifies every person it finds, adds them to a sequence and posts each run to Slack, every week or on a CRM trigger.

A Cleanlist AI list of 99 New York founders at companies with 51 to 200 employees, with the email and phone columns filled in and blurred
Cleanlist AI owns no contact database: each record comes from its providers when you ask for it. The People Search page shows the filters you search with.
3. Snov.io: best for finding and emailing on a small budget
Snov.io searches its prospect database, finds and verifies emails, finds phone numbers with enrichment tokens and runs email campaigns, with unlimited team seats on every plan. The Trial plan is free and renews every 30 days with 50 credits, 100 recipients and 25 enrichment tokens, though it cannot export. Starter is $39 a month, or $29.25 billed annually, for 1,000 credits and 5,000 recipients. Pro plans run from $99 to $369 a month and Ultra is $738. Each prospect and each email verification costs 1 credit, and LinkedIn automation is an extra $69 a month per account.
Best for: solo founders who want finding and sending on one bill.
4. RocketReach: best for looking up a few named people a day
RocketReach looks people up by name, company or title across 700 million professionals and 60 million companies, by its own count. Essentials is $27 a month billed annually ($329 a year) with unlimited verified emails and 1,200 exports a year. Pro is $69 a month ($829 a year) and adds mobile and direct phone numbers with 3,600 exports. Ultimate is $142 a month ($1,699 a year) with 20,000 exports, and team plans start at $6,000 a year. A free account gets 5 lookups. Our RocketReach review covers its ratings and data sources.
Best for: recruiters and founders who need a handful of verified emails a day.
5. UpLead: best for paying per contact, phone number included
UpLead sells contacts by the credit, and one credit unlocks one person's email and mobile direct dial. Essentials is $99 a month for 170 credits, or $74 a month billed annually for 2,040 credits a year. Plus is $199 a month for 400 credits, or $149 billed annually for 4,800, and adds technographics, advanced filters and suppression lists. Professional is custom and billed annually. The free trial lasts 7 days with 5 credits, and UpLead states a 95% email accuracy rate.
Best for: small teams that export carefully and want a phone number in every credit.
6. Kaspr: best for phone numbers from LinkedIn profiles
Kaspr is a Chrome extension that shows phone numbers and emails on LinkedIn profiles, groups and events, and on Sales Navigator from the Starter plan. Free gives 15 B2B email credits, 5 phone credits and 5 direct email credits a month. Starter is $49 a user a month billed annually, or $65 monthly, with unlimited B2B email credits, 100 phone credits a month and up to 12,000 exports a year. Business is $79 a user a month billed annually, or $99 monthly, with 200 phone credits a month.
Best for: reps who build lists on LinkedIn and call.
7. ContactOut: best for occasional lookups on LinkedIn
ContactOut finds emails and phone numbers for the LinkedIn profile you are on, through a browser extension and a search portal. Free gives one user 5 emails, 5 phones and 5 exports a day. Email is $49 a month billed annually, with unlimited emails and 300 exports a month. Email + Phone is $99 a month billed annually, with unlimited phones and 600 exports. The page shows $99 and $199 struck through beside those prices, each paid plan is limited to one user per company, and team and API plans are quoted.
Best for: recruiters and founders who need a few contacts a day.
8. LinkedIn Sales Navigator: best for finding the right people
Sales Navigator is where many B2B searches start, because titles and tenure come from the people themselves. Core is $119.99 a month or $1,079.88 a year per license. Advanced is $159.99 a month or $1,799.88 a year, and LinkedIn's sales team prices Advanced Plus. Every plan includes 50 InMail credits a month. The plan table lists no email addresses or phone numbers, so most teams pair it with a finder from this list. Our Sales Navigator pricing guide covers the plans in full.
Best for: teams that search by title and tenure and get contact details elsewhere.
9. Seamless.AI: best for real-time lookups in the browser
Seamless.AI looks contacts up in real time from a Chrome extension and a web app, and says it finds cell phones, emails and direct dials for B2B professionals on any website. It is free for up to 50 credits. When an email it returned is invalid, it refunds the credit automatically. Paid plans are quoted: the pricing page is a demo form with no figures on it.
Best for: reps who research one account at a time and want a phone number for it.
10. ZoomInfo: best for enterprise teams with the budget approved
ZoomInfo sells contact and company data to sales, marketing and recruiting teams. Its pricing page lists ZoomInfo Professional, Copilot Advanced and Copilot Enterprise for sales, priced on features, number of licenses and credit usage, at one credit per export. Those plans offer a free trial, and the page prints no price. In our 1,000-lead test in March 2026, ZoomInfo matched 84% of emails and 67% of mobile numbers, against Apollo's 78% and 41%. The ZoomInfo pricing guide covers how contracts are built.
Best for: enterprise teams that want data and intent signals under one contract.
11. Cognism: best for phone-verified mobile numbers
Cognism sells B2B emails and mobile numbers. Its phone-verified mobiles and on-demand verification are premium features, and its intent data comes from Bombora. The pricing page lists two plans, Standard and Pro, each with 5 seats included and priced on the product, the team and the usage, at one credit per revealed contact. It publishes no price.
Best for: teams whose reps spend their day on the phone.
Hunter, Wiza, Prospeo, Findymail and LeadMagic (supplier credits, unranked)
Hunter. Hunter finds work emails by company domain or by a person's name, then verifies them. Its Discover database adds the step before that: you find companies by headquarters, industry, headcount, keywords and technologies, then pull their emails with Domain Search. Free is 50 credits a month with unlimited team members, and it includes the Chrome extension, the API and the MCP server. Starter is $49 a month or $34 billed yearly for 2,000 credits a month, Growth is $149 ($104 yearly) for 10,000, and Scale is $299 ($209 yearly) for 25,000. Every plan also sends cold email sequences from your own connected inboxes. Hunter's pricing page lists no phone numbers.
Wiza, Prospeo, Findymail and LeadMagic.
These four are lead finders too. Wiza, Prospeo and LeadMagic return phone numbers as well as work emails, and Findymail returns work emails. Each is a provider inside Cleanlist AI's waterfall, listed with Hunter on our data sources page, so they are credited here and left out of the ranking.
What one contact costs on entry plans
A sticker price says little until you divide it by what a credit buys. The figures below are list-price arithmetic on the plans above. They assume every credit you spend returns a usable contact, so a tool that charges for lookups that find nothing costs more per usable contact than this table shows.
| Plan | Price | What it includes | Cost per contact |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hunter Starter, billed yearly | $34 a month | 2,000 credits a month | about $0.02 per credit |
| Cleanlist AI Starter | $49 a seat a month | 750 credits; 1 per verified email, 10 per phone number | about $0.07 per email, $0.65 per phone number |
| Apollo Basic, billed annually | $49 a seat a month | 30,000 credits a seat a year; 1 per email, 8 per phone number | about $0.02 per email, $0.16 per phone number |
| RocketReach Essentials | $329 a year | 1,200 exports, email only | about $0.27 per export |
| UpLead Essentials | $99 a month | 170 credits, email and mobile in each | about $0.58 per contact |
| Kaspr Starter, billed annually | $49 a user a month | Unlimited B2B emails, 100 phone credits a month | about $0.49 per phone credit, emails included |
Two things move the real number more than the list price. The first is the hit rate on your segment, which only a test shows. The second is how many people you need per account: 3 contacts at each of 500 accounts is 1,500 rows. For the wider market, our breakdown of what B2B contact data costs prices more vendors per record.
How to test a lead finder before you pay
Vendor accuracy figures come from the vendor. Fifty of your own contacts tell you more in an hour.
- Pull 50 people you reached in the last 90 days: replies, meetings or customers, with the email and phone number that worked.
- Keep the name, company and LinkedIn URL. Set the email and phone aside.
- Run the same 50 through two or three finders. Hunter's 50 free credits, Apollo's 75 a month and Snov.io's 50 trial credits cover emails, and Cleanlist AI's 14-day Pro trial includes 250 credits for emails and phone numbers.
- Count three things for each tool: rows returned, emails that match the one that worked, and phone numbers that reach the person when you call 10 of them.
- Divide each plan's price by the usable contacts it found, then multiply by your monthly volume.
Use people from your own ICP. A finder that is strong on US software companies can be thin on European manufacturers, and only a test on your segment shows it. If the ICP itself is still loose, ICP in sales walks through building one from closed-won deals.
Which B2B lead finder fits your team
- Email-only outbound on a small budget: Snov.io.
- Email and phone number on every row, with an agent rebuilding the list weekly: Cleanlist AI.
- One seat to find, email and call: Apollo.
- You build lists on LinkedIn: Sales Navigator for search, plus Kaspr or ContactOut for the contact details.
- You pay per contact and export carefully: UpLead or RocketReach.
- Enterprise budget and a yearly contract are fine: ZoomInfo or Cognism.

Frequently asked questions
What is a B2B lead finder?
A B2B lead finder is software that finds business contacts who match a description, such as "VP of Sales at US software companies with 51 to 200 employees", and returns a way to reach each one. Some search a database the vendor maintains, some look people up in real time, and some query several providers in turn. The output is a list you load into a CRM or a sequencer.
What is the difference between a lead finder and an email finder?
An email finder needs a name and a company you already have, and returns the address. A lead finder also finds the people: you describe the buyer and it returns names, titles and companies, usually with emails attached. Hunter started as an email finder and added company search with Discover, which is why many teams now use one tool for both steps.
Can I use a lead finder without LinkedIn Sales Navigator?
Yes. Hunter, Cleanlist AI, Apollo, Snov.io, RocketReach, UpLead, Seamless.AI, ZoomInfo and Cognism all search without a Sales Navigator seat. Kaspr and ContactOut work on the LinkedIn profile you have open, so they need LinkedIn in front of you, and Kaspr's Sales Navigator support starts on its Starter plan.
How accurate are B2B lead finder emails?
Accuracy depends on the segment, which is why vendor-wide figures differ so much from what one team sees. Keep your bounce rate under 2%, the ceiling Instantly's 2026 cold email benchmark recommends, by verifying every address before it enters a sequence. Unverified and catch-all addresses push the bounce rate up, so check how each tool labels them before you export.
Can AI find B2B leads for me?
Yes, for the search step. Clu, Cleanlist AI's GTM agent, takes a plain-English description of your buyer and returns matching people with contact data, and Hunter's free plan includes 30 AI searches a month in Discover. A person should still write the ICP and approve the list, because the AI can only filter on the traits the data holds.
Should I buy one lead finder or several?
One tool is simpler, and a single database leaves the rows it cannot fill empty. Teams that need high coverage either stack two tools, such as Sales Navigator plus a contact finder, or use a waterfall tool that queries several providers per person. Run the 50-contact test above on your top two choices before deciding, because coverage on your segment is the number that settles it.
