The short answer

Yes, RocketReach is legit, and it is worth it for low-volume lookup: recruiters, founders and small teams who look up a few people a day. It rates 4.1 out of 5 from 140 reviews on Capterra and 1.2 from 1,110 reviews on Trustpilot, where the complaints are annual auto-renewals and people who found their own details in it. Plans cost $27, $69 or $142 a month billed annually ($329, $829 or $1,699 a year), or $49, $99 or $209 billed monthly. Phone numbers start on Pro. Cleanlist publishes this review and sells contact data too; our own plans are public.

Prices, ratings and quotes on this page were checked on October 1, 2026. This is a pricing, fit and user-evidence review. Cleanlist has not run RocketReach on a file of its own, so no figure here is our measurement of its data. RocketReach draws its prices in the browser; we read the rendered page and the plan list its pricing page loads from rocketreach.co/v2/product/multi-seat. Ratings and quotes come from Capterra and Trustpilot. For every plan and add-on, see our RocketReach pricing guide.

What is RocketReach?

RocketReach is a contact lookup platform. You search for a person or a company, or open a profile with its Chrome extension, and RocketReach returns the emails and phone numbers it can find and verify. In a June 2025 post marking ten years in business, RocketReach said it serves customers "in over 100 countries" across recruiting, sales, marketing and fundraising. Its pricing page now says it is trusted by over 30 million users. Those are RocketReach's own figures.

Two things set it apart from a sales database like ZoomInfo. RocketReach is built for lookup, one profile or one list at a time. And it returns personal emails as well as work emails. Recruiters value that. Sales teams emailing personal addresses should check their own compliance position first. Every paid plan also includes Messages, Sequences and sending of up to 500 emails a day.

How much does RocketReach cost per month?

RocketReach costs $27, $69 or $142 a month on annual billing, or $49, $99 or $209 a month on monthly billing. The page labels annual billing "Save 50%". The plan ladder on October 1, 2026:

The unit that matters is the export. On annual billing that works out to $274.17 per 1,000 exports on Essentials, $230.28 on Pro and $84.95 on Ultimate. Monthly billing costs more per export: $490 per 1,000 on Essentials, $396 on Pro and $209 on Ultimate, and it carries fewer exports a year on Pro and Ultimate than the annual plans. RocketReach also says a lookup "is used if we find and verify email or phone, otherwise it is refunded", so a miss does not use your allowance.

Is RocketReach worth it?

RocketReach is worth it for a recruiter or founder who needs a few verified emails a day and values the extension. Essentials at $329 a year is a cheap way in, and a miss costs nothing.

RocketReach gets expensive for a sales team that needs phone numbers at volume. Phones start on Pro, and the per-export cost only falls steeply on Ultimate at $1,699 a year. If your reps dial hundreds of contacts a week, price Ultimate or a team plan against your real monthly volume before you commit. To see how RocketReach's per-contact cost sits against the rest of the market, read our breakdown of what B2B contact data costs.

Is RocketReach free?

RocketReach has a free account with 5 lookups, according to its pricing page. That is enough to try the extension and check a few people you know. Every paid plan costs money from the first month, and you can pick monthly or annual billing.

Is RocketReach a trustworthy site?

RocketReach is a real, established company: more than ten years in business, a product most Capterra reviewers say works as described, and a 4.1 rating there. The 1.2 TrustScore on Trustpilot comes from two groups of complaints, and both are worth knowing before you buy:

  • Renewals. Annual plans renew automatically. One UK reviewer wrote in September 2026: "It turns out that it ran out last weekend and was automatically renewed by RocketReach at a cost of £600." RocketReach's pricing page says you can cancel any time from your account page and that cancellation takes effect at the next term. Note the renewal date the day you buy.
  • People in the data. Many one-star reviews come from people who found their own details on RocketReach and did not expect to. Those are privacy complaints, and they say little about what paying users get.

So RocketReach is safe to buy from, as long as you manage the renewal. Whether it is right for you depends on volume and on whether you need phones.

How did my information get on RocketReach?

RocketReach's privacy policy, last updated September 30, 2026, names three sources. Its search technology "collects publicly available information from third party websites, such as, social media sites, corporate websites and public records." It may obtain data from third parties such as "people directories, data brokers, corporate information directories" and business partners. And its customers may opt in to share contact details from their own professional network, such as address books and email signature blocks.

To remove your profile, use RocketReach's Remove Your Profile form, which is also its "Do Not Sell or Share My Info" tool, or email privacy@rocketreach.co.

What RocketReach users say

On October 1, 2026, RocketReach had 4.1 out of 5 from 140 reviews on Capterra, with 4.5 for ease of use and 3.9 for customer service. On Trustpilot it had a TrustScore of 1.2 from 1,110 reviews, split between 38% five-star and 39% one-star. The reviews agree on ease of use and disagree on data quality and billing.

What users like, quoted from Capterra:

"Rocketreach is a good lead generation platform, easy to use and navigate with robust details about the lead involved, I highly recommend"

Digital marketing manager, logistics and supply chain, March 2025

"RocketReach is and was 10 times cheaper than the other platform that we were using while producing the same results."

Business Development Rep, IT and services, January 2025

What users dislike, also from Capterra:

"What I personally do not like about RocketReach is the fact that sometimes the information is not up to date."

Assistant Reservations Manager, hospitality, February 2026

"My main challenge while using RocketReach was the coverage and accuracy of the contacts."

Business Development Rep, IT and services, January 2025

"Its high pricing and occasional data inaccuracies."

Project Manager, IT and services, March 2026

Where RocketReach is strong

Ease of use. 4.5 for ease of use on Capterra, and reviewers describe it as easy to use and navigate.

Lookup breadth. RocketReach states 700 million professionals, and it returns personal emails as well as work emails, which suits recruiting.

Pay only for found data. A lookup that finds nothing is refunded, by RocketReach's own terms.

Low entry price and a monthly option. $329 a year gets a solo user into a working email-only plan, and $49 a month buys a month at a time.

Where RocketReach is weak

Export caps. The plan is priced by exports, and 1,200 a year on Essentials is about 100 a month.

Phones cost more. Essentials is email only. Phone numbers start on Pro at $829 a year or $99 a month.

Data freshness and coverage. Outdated records and patchy coverage are the data complaints that repeat in the reviews we read.

Renewals and support. Annual auto-renewal dominates the one-star reviews, and customer service scores 3.9 on Capterra.

Who should pick RocketReach, and who should not

Pick RocketReach if:

  • You are a recruiter, a founder or a small team looking up a handful of people a day.
  • You want personal emails as well as work emails, and you have a lawful basis to use them.
  • You will set a reminder for the renewal date, or you pay monthly.

Look elsewhere if:

  • You need phone numbers for thousands of contacts a month.
  • You already have a list and need verified work emails and direct dials on every row.
  • You want a full prospecting database with intent and org data at enterprise scale.

For the enterprise comparison, see RocketReach vs ZoomInfo. FAQ

Is RocketReach legit?

Yes. RocketReach has been in business for more than ten years and says over 30 million users trust it. It scores 4.1 out of 5 on Capterra. Its 1.2 on Trustpilot comes mostly from annual plans that renewed automatically and from people who found their own details in it.

Is RocketReach worth it?

For low-volume lookup, yes. Essentials is $329 a year for 1,200 email exports, or $49 a month for 100. For phone numbers at volume it is expensive, because phones start on Pro at $829 a year for 3,600 exports.

How much does RocketReach cost per month?

On annual billing, Essentials is about $27 a month, Pro about $69 and Ultimate about $142. On monthly billing they are $49, $99 and $209. Team plans start at $6,000 a year. Prices read October 1, 2026.

Is RocketReach free?

RocketReach has a free account with 5 lookups. Paid plans start at $49 a month, or $329 a year.

How accurate is RocketReach?

RocketReach's pricing page claims data "verified on demand and in real time with 98% accuracy." That is RocketReach's own figure. It refunds lookups that find nothing. Capterra reviewers report that some records are out of date and that coverage varies. Cleanlist has not measured RocketReach's data.

How do I remove my information from RocketReach?

Submit RocketReach's Remove Your Profile form or email privacy@rocketreach.co. Its privacy policy says it collects public web data, buys from data brokers and directories, and receives contacts that customers choose to share.

How do I stop RocketReach from auto-renewing?

Cancel from your account page before the renewal date. RocketReach says cancellation takes effect at the next term and you keep access until the current term ends. Keep the written confirmation, because several reviewers report being renewed for a full year.
