The short answer
To cancel LinkedIn Sales Navigator, open LinkedIn Admin Center, click Purchases, select the subscription and choose Cancel subscription: on Core you reach Admin Center from Settings & Privacy, and on Advanced only the purchaser admin can cancel, from the Admin menu in Sales Navigator. A plan bought through a LinkedIn sales rep is cancelled through your account manager, and one bought on an iPhone through the iOS app and Apple. Access runs to the end of the paid month or year, and LinkedIn's refund policy covers 7 days from a charge with no use, with longer rights in some countries (LinkedIn help pages, read November 4, 2026). LinkedIn removes saved leads, saved accounts and messages when you cancel, so export them first.

Find your cancellation path
How you cancel depends on how you bought Sales Navigator. Every row comes from LinkedIn's help center, read November 4, 2026.
| How you bought it | Who can cancel | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Core, online with a card | You | Settings & Privacy, then Subscriptions & payments, then LinkedIn Admin Center |
| Advanced, online | The purchaser admin only | Admin in Sales Navigator, then Admin Center |
| Advanced or Advanced Plus, through a LinkedIn sales rep | Your company, through its account manager | Contact the account manager |
| On an iPhone, through the App Store | You | The LinkedIn iOS app, with billing and refunds through Apple |
| On an Android phone, through Google Play | You | LinkedIn on desktop, the LinkedIn app, or Google Play |
| A seat your employer gave you | Your company's admin | Ask the admin to remove you |
A free trial follows the same path as the plan it is a trial of. The button reads Cancel free trial instead of Cancel subscription.
How to cancel Sales Navigator Core
LinkedIn's article "Cancel your Sales Navigator Core account" gives these steps (read November 4, 2026):
- Sign in to your LinkedIn account.
- Click the Me icon in the upper-right corner and click Settings & Privacy.
- Select Account Preferences in the left menu and scroll to the Subscriptions & payments section.
- Click Manage Premium account, then Manage Subscription. LinkedIn Admin Center opens.
- In the left menu, click Purchases.
- Select the subscription you want to cancel.
- In the Actions section at the top of the page, select Cancel free trial or Cancel subscription, and follow the on-screen steps.
You can also reach the same billing screen from inside Sales Navigator: click your profile picture on the Sales Navigator homepage, select Settings, then Manage your Billing settings in the Sellers Profile section.
How to cancel Sales Navigator Advanced
LinkedIn's Advanced article says: "Only a purchaser admin can cancel a Sales Navigator Advanced online subscription." If someone else bought the seats, ask that purchaser admin to cancel. If you are the purchaser admin, these are the steps:
- Sign in to Sales Navigator.
- Click Admin in the top menu.
- Click Admin Center in the top menu. The LinkedIn Admin Center homepage opens.
- Click Purchases in the left menu.
- In the Active tab, select the subscription you want to cancel.
- In the Actions section, select Cancel free trial or Cancel subscription, and follow the steps on the screen.
- If you think you qualify for a refund, submit a refund request after you cancel.
LinkedIn's billing article adds that on Advanced and Advanced Plus, only an admin can cancel the plan or update its billing information.
If you bought through a sales rep, an iPhone or an Android phone
Through a LinkedIn sales rep. LinkedIn's "Considerations before you cancel" article tells you to contact your account manager to cancel a plan bought through LinkedIn's sales team. Read your order form for its renewal and notice terms before you call, because the online steps above are for plans bought online.
On an iPhone. The same article says to cancel a Sales Navigator purchase made on an iOS device from that device. LinkedIn's App Store article gives the path in the LinkedIn app: tap your profile photo, tap Premium features, tap Manage your subscription, then tap Cancel subscription. LinkedIn gives no billing support for App Store purchases, so refund requests go to Apple. If you paid through LinkedIn on the iPhone's mobile web, LinkedIn processes the payment and you cancel on desktop.
On an Android phone. LinkedIn's Google Play article covers Premium subscriptions bought through Google Play, and Sales Navigator is a Premium subscription. You can cancel on LinkedIn's desktop site (the Me icon, Premium features, Subscription details, then Purchases in Admin Center), in the LinkedIn app (Premium features, then Manage your subscription), or in Google Play itself.
A seat from your employer. Each LinkedIn cancel article ends the same way: if your employer provides the subscription, ask your company's admin to remove you from the account.
How to cancel a Sales Navigator free trial
LinkedIn asks for a card when you start a trial. Its compare-plans page says you can cancel for any reason before the trial ends and pay nothing, and that LinkedIn emails a reminder seven days before the trial expires (read November 4, 2026).
Three details matter:
- The charge date. LinkedIn's auto-renewal article says the card used for a Premium trial is charged automatically one month after you signed up, and that you have to cancel at least one day before that auto-renewal billing date.
- The time zone. Billing and cancellation dates follow the time the trial was activated, in local US time for US-based English-speaking members and in UTC for everyone else.
- The reminder. If you signed up on your phone, LinkedIn does not send the reminder email. Apple and Google may send their own.
Two more rules come from LinkedIn's Premium cancellation FAQ: if you cancel a free trial, you can't start another one for at least 12 months, and if you end it early, you lose access to the features at once. The compare-plans page sets trial eligibility at no paid LinkedIn subscription and no LinkedIn free trial in the past 365 days.
When does the cancellation take effect?
At the end of what you already paid for. LinkedIn's compare-plans page puts it this way:
| Plan | When the cancellation applies |
|---|---|
| Annual | At the end of the paid year |
| Monthly | At the end of the current month |
The "Considerations before you cancel" article adds two points: the account is cancelled at the end of the current billing cycle, and if LinkedIn's prices changed since you subscribed, you lose your current price when you cancel. LinkedIn's Premium cancellation FAQ says to cancel at least one day before the next billing date to avoid a charge for another cycle.
If the problem is the billing period, you can change it without cancelling. In Admin Center, open Purchases, select the subscription, click Edit next to Billing frequency and choose monthly or annual. LinkedIn says the change takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and on a sales-rep contract you ask your rep.
Refunds: what LinkedIn's policy says
LinkedIn's refund policy, read November 4, 2026, says Premium subscriptions, Sales Navigator included, "may be refundable within 7 days from the date the subscription is charged", provided you have not used the Premium features in that time. It adds that a previous refund can affect whether you qualify, and that when you cancel, all Premium features, including InMail messages, expire at the end of the billing cycle.
The policy then lists rights under local law that can apply when you use LinkedIn for yourself:
| Your situation | What LinkedIn's refund policy says |
|---|---|
| You live in Brazil | A full refund if claimed within 7 days of the subscription charge |
| You are an EU citizen | A full refund during the 14 days after the subscription begins; on a free trial, the 14 days start on the trial's first day |
| You live in Denmark or the Netherlands | Cancellation with one month's notice and a refund of the remaining period |
| You live in Germany | Cancellation with one month's notice and a refund of the remaining period, excluding the first year of an annual subscription |
| You live in India and pay withholding tax | Refund requests within 180 days of the subscription start |
| You paid by SEPA direct debit | A refund from your bank, claimed within eight weeks of the debit |
Outside those cases, nothing in the policy refunds the unused months of an annual plan. For a plan bought in the iOS app, the policy says all iOS refunds must be issued by Apple. To ask for a refund, cancel first, then use the Request a Refund link on the refund policy page.
What happens to your saved leads, lists, messages and InMail credits
LinkedIn's "Considerations before you cancel" article is blunt about the data. It says you have no option to save messages, saved leads or saved accounts, and "This data is removed as soon as you cancel". After that you can't open it. Treat lead lists, account lists, notes and saved searches the same way: they live inside the same Sales Navigator account.
| What you have | After you cancel | Do this first |
|---|---|---|
| Saved leads and lead lists | Removed | Copy each list into a file |
| Saved accounts and account lists | Removed | Copy company names and websites |
| Saved searches | Gone with the account | Save each search URL and write down its filters |
| Notes | Gone with the account | Copy the ones you need |
| Messages sent from Sales Navigator | Removed, and not visible from your personal LinkedIn account | Copy threads you need |
| Unused InMail credits | Expire at the end of the billing cycle and do not move to your personal account | Use them before the cycle ends |
| Your LinkedIn profile and connections | Unchanged | Nothing |
If you buy Sales Navigator again later, LinkedIn says "you'll start over with a new account", and none of the old data comes back.
Moving to a company license? If your employer added you to a corporate Sales Navigator account, LinkedIn's self-serve data transfer moves your leads, accounts, searches and notes across, once the corporate admin has turned the option on. LinkedIn says some information does not transfer, the transfer can take up to 48 hours, it overwrites anything already on the corporate dashboard and it may not be reversible. Its article also says the process cancels your personal subscription. On an annual personal plan, LinkedIn asks you to contact support to review cancellation options.
Closing your LinkedIn account too? Cancel Sales Navigator first. LinkedIn says you need to cancel the subscription before you can close and delete your personal account.
Export before you cancel: a checklist
LinkedIn's help center says it "currently doesn't offer the option to export account and lead information", meaning no CSV or XLS file of your leads and accounts. The only built-in route is CRM Sync on Advanced Plus, which links leads and accounts with Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics or HubSpot. So the export is a file you build. Work through this list before you click cancel:
- Count what you have. Open each lead list and account list and note how many entries each holds, so you can check the file against it.
- Build one file per list. For people, use first name, last name, title, company and LinkedIn profile URL. For accounts, use company name, website and LinkedIn company URL. Our export guide walks through five ways to do this and which ones keep your LinkedIn account safe.
- Save your searches. Copy each saved search's URL and write its filters into a doc, so you can rebuild the search in another tool.
- Copy notes and messages. Paste the notes you rely on into the file, and save any InMail threads you need.
- Add the contact details. A list of LinkedIn URLs tells you who to contact and gives you no way to reach them off LinkedIn. For a few people, paste each profile into our free LinkedIn email finder, which returns the email, name, company and title, with 2 free lookups per IP every 30 days. It checks one provider, so verify the address before you send. For a whole list, upload the file to Cleanlist AI and choose emails, phone numbers or both. Each row runs through 25+ data providers until one returns a verified result.
- Check the file, then cancel. Compare the row counts with step 1, then cancel.
What the contact step costs: a verified email is 1 credit, a phone number 10, and a row with no result costs nothing. The 14-day Pro trial, which asks for a card, includes 250 credits, which is 250 verified emails or 25 phone numbers. The result is a file you keep, with a verified email or phone number next to each LinkedIn URL the providers could match.

What to use instead
The search and the contact details can both come from other tools.
- Keep free LinkedIn and add contact details: Kaspr or ContactOut on the profiles you open, or our LinkedIn email finder for a few people.
- Replace the search and the contact data: Apollo, or Cleanlist AI (our product), where Clu, Cleanlist AI's GTM agent, finds buyers across 1B+ profiles and gets verified emails and phone numbers, from $49 a seat a month.
- Keep Sales Navigator, but pay less: on LinkedIn's compare-plans page on November 4, 2026, Core costs $1,079.88 a year on annual billing against $1,439.88 paid monthly, and Advanced costs $1,799.88 a year or $159.99 a month.

Frequently asked questions
Can I cancel Sales Navigator at any time?
Yes. LinkedIn's compare-plans page says you can cancel "hassle-free", and the cancellation applies at the end of the paid year on an annual plan or the end of the current month on a monthly plan. Cancel at least one day before the next billing date to avoid another charge.
Will I get a refund if I cancel an annual plan?
Only inside the policy's window. LinkedIn says a subscription may be refundable within 7 days of the charge if you have not used it. Members who use LinkedIn for themselves in Brazil, the EU, Denmark, the Netherlands and Germany have the extra rights in the table above, and a plan bought in the iOS app is refunded through Apple.
Does cancelling Sales Navigator affect my LinkedIn profile?
No. LinkedIn says cancelling Sales Navigator leaves the information and data in your personal LinkedIn account as they are, so your profile and connections stay. What you lose is the Sales Navigator account itself: saved leads, accounts, lists, messages and unused InMail credits.
Why can't I find the cancel button?
There are four usual reasons. On Advanced, only the purchaser admin can cancel. A seat from your employer is removed by your company's admin. A plan bought through a LinkedIn sales rep is cancelled through your account manager. A plan bought in the iOS app is cancelled from your iPhone.
If I subscribe again later, do I get my leads back?
No. A new purchase starts a new, empty Sales Navigator account, and LinkedIn says none of the data from your old subscription will be in it. The only way to keep it is to export it before you cancel.
Can I switch between monthly and annual billing instead of cancelling?
Yes. In LinkedIn Admin Center, open Purchases, select the subscription and edit the billing frequency. LinkedIn says the change takes effect at the end of the current billing period. On a contract bought through a sales rep, ask the rep.
