TL;DR
The best MCP server for sales in 2026 depends on which data you already pay for. Cleanlist MCP (mcp.cleanlist.ai, 30+ tools, OAuth through Claude Connectors) fits teams that want structured people search plus verified waterfall enrichment and CRM sync behind one connector, on plans from $79/mo with 30 free credits to start. Apollo MCP is the cheapest entry: Apollo states any plan qualifies, including free. Clay MCP suits teams whose workflows already live in Clay. Crustdata MCP publishes 40 tools. Explorium's Vibe Prospecting is the largest dataset listed in Anthropic's connector directory.
Last updated: August 2, 2026. Endpoints, tool counts and plan gates in this category change every few weeks. Every third-party figure below is attributed to the vendor that published it, with a link, so you can re-check it before you commit.
MCP (Model Context Protocol) turned a category that used to require an API integration into something a rep can turn on in a settings menu. Since Anthropic published the protocol in late 2024, most B2B data vendors have shipped a server. This guide compares ten of them on the things that actually decide the integration: the endpoint, which AI clients it works in, how it authenticates, what one call costs, and what the rate limits are.
What is an MCP server for sales?
An MCP server for sales is a standardized connector that lets an AI assistant call a B2B data provider's API as a set of tools, so you can ask for prospects in plain English instead of writing REST code. The Model Context Protocol defines how the assistant discovers the available tools, what arguments each one takes, and how results come back. In practice a sales MCP server exposes tools like "search people", "enrich person", "create list" and "sync to CRM". You connect it once, usually with OAuth, and from then on the assistant decides which tool to call. The vendor still meters the same credits it would charge through its UI or REST API.
What is the best MCP server for sales in 2026?
Cleanlist MCP is the strongest option for teams that want structured people search and verified contact data through one connector, and Apollo MCP is the strongest free entry point. Cleanlist exposes 30+ tools at mcp.cleanlist.ai/v1/mcp, mapped one-to-one against roughly 30 REST v2 endpoints, so an agent can search (0 credits), enrich through a 15+ provider waterfall, build lists, run AI columns and push to HubSpot, Salesforce, Outreach or Lemlist without leaving the conversation. Plans run $79, $229 and $599 per month, with 25% off annual and a free tier of 30 credits per month with no card. Apollo wins on price: Apollo states on its MCP page that "any Apollo plan qualifies, including free."

Is there an MCP server for B2B lead data and enrichment?
Yes, there are more than ten first-party MCP servers for B2B lead data and enrichment as of August 2026, including Cleanlist, Apollo, Clay, Crustdata, Explorium's Vibe Prospecting, LeadIQ, LeadMagic, Prospeo, Amplemarket, SyncGTM, ZoomInfo and Lusha. They split into two groups. Database vendors (Apollo, Crustdata, LeadIQ, Prospeo, Explorium, ZoomInfo, Lusha) expose their own records as tools, so coverage is capped by that one dataset. Orchestration vendors (Cleanlist, Clay, SyncGTM) route each request across multiple upstream providers, so a miss on one source falls through to the next. If your bottleneck is finding people, the database servers are simpler. If your bottleneck is getting a sendable email or a working mobile for people you have already identified, the orchestration servers are the better fit.
What does the Cleanlist MCP server do?
The Cleanlist MCP server exposes 30+ tools that map one-to-one onto Cleanlist's REST v2 endpoints, so an AI agent can run the same workflows a person runs in the app. Those tools cover structured people and company search, waterfall enrichment for email and phone, lead list CRUD and CSV import, Smart Agents (AI columns for company intel, pain-point hypotheses and cold intro drafts), CRM sync to HubSpot, Salesforce and Outreach, sequencer sync to Lemlist, CSV and JSON export, and credit balance and usage checks. It is a separate deploy at mcp.cleanlist.ai/v1/mcp, also published as the npm package @cleanlist-ai/mcp, and it draws on the same credit wallet as the web app and the API.
Beta on Cleanlist self-serve plans. Plans from $79/mo (Starter, 1,500 credits), $229 Pro (5,000), $599 Scale (15,000), 25% off annual. Free tier is 30 credits per month, no card.
Sales, RevOps and GTM engineering teams who want an agent to search, enrich, list-build and sync to CRM without stitching a search vendor to an enrichment vendor
- +Search costs 0 credits, so an agent can explore a cohort before you pay for anything
- +Signed cost quotes before paid bulk work, so an agent cannot silently drain credits
- +OAuth through Claude Settings then Connectors, no key to copy or store
- +30+ tools mapped one-to-one to the REST v2 endpoints, so agent and script behaviour match
- -Beta, and excluded from AppSumo licenses
- -No webhooks in v2, so agents poll a workflow_id rather than get pushed results
- -No revenue, funding, technographic or intent filters in people search
- -60 People Searches per UTC day per key is a real ceiling for high-volume agent loops
What does the Apollo MCP server do?
Apollo MCP connects an existing Apollo account to Claude, ChatGPT and Perplexity so an agent can search for prospects, enrich contacts, add them to sequences and update the CRM from one conversation. Apollo's product page states that setup requires no developer expertise: you find Apollo in the connectors or plugins directory and "authenticate via OAuth, no API key needed." It also states that "any Apollo plan qualifies, including free," and that your data access and action limits mirror your normal Apollo account. Apollo additionally publishes an open-source plugin at github.com/apolloio/apollo-mcp-plugin for Claude Code. The structural trade-off is the same one Apollo has always had: one database, so accuracy is capped by that single source.
What does the Clay MCP server do?
Clay MCP puts Clay's provider network and your team's prebuilt Clay workflows inside ChatGPT, Claude and Codex, so a rep can trigger an ops-built workflow from chat instead of opening Clay. Clay's own guide describes it as "a connector, not a new app to learn" and states that it surfaces "150+ data providers, AI research agents, and your team's prebuilt workflows." Clay also states that new accounts get 500 free Clay credits on first connect, and that workspace admins set per-rep credit limits and monitor usage from the MCP section of the Clay side nav. It is the right pick when the intelligence already lives in Clay tables and you want reps consuming it rather than building it.
What does the Crustdata MCP server do?
Crustdata MCP is a hosted server at mcp.crustdata.com/mcp that Crustdata states exposes 40 tools across seven categories: company data, people data, jobs, social signals, web research, monitoring and utilities. Crustdata's page states coverage of "1B+ people and 60M+ companies from 15+ sources," with jobs data refreshed daily and bulk records monthly, and says "every new account includes free credits. No card required." Crustdata lists Claude.ai, Claude Code, Cursor "and any MCP-compatible client," with Claude and Cursor signing in over OAuth while file-based clients pass a Crustdata API key in config. Its distinguishing feature versus most servers on this list is the signal layer: job openings, headcount trends and social posts, rather than contact data alone.
What does Explorium's Vibe Prospecting connector do?
Vibe Prospecting is Explorium's MCP connector, and it is one of the few B2B data servers listed directly in Anthropic's connector directory rather than added as a custom URL. The listing at claude.com/connectors/vibeprospecting is published by VibeProspecting.ai and states access to "over 150 million companies and 800 million professionals," integrating B2B data from 50+ sources including technographics, firmographics, funding events and intent signals, available across Claude, Claude Code, the desktop and mobile apps, and the Claude API. Explorium's own blog post, written by Omer Har and published July 3, 2026, claims "1,000 enrichments per call at 100 QPS server-side" and "97.8%+ company match accuracy" for Vibe Prospecting. Those are Explorium's published figures about its own product, not an independent measurement, and the source code sits at github.com/explorium-ai/vibeprospecting-mcp.
Which smaller MCP servers cover B2B lead data?
LeadIQ, LeadMagic, Prospeo, Amplemarket and SyncGTM all publish B2B lead-data MCP servers, and each is worth a look depending on your existing stack. Every fact below comes from the vendor's own documentation.
LeadIQ MCP
LeadIQ MCP runs at mcp.leadiq.com/mcp and LeadIQ states the integration "works wherever you access Claude, including mobile devices and the Claude app." Connection is OAuth against your LeadIQ login. LeadIQ states that "credit consumption works the same as in the LeadIQ app. Each company lookup or contact enrichment uses the standard credit amount," that "you'll need an active paid subscription to use this integration" for company and contact data, and that "LeadIQ never stores your Claude conversations, and Claude only accesses LeadIQ data when you enable it." It is the strictest paywall of the ten: there is no free path to test it.
LeadMagic MCP
LeadMagic MCP is a remote HTTP server at mcp.leadmagic.io/mcp covering email finding, account research, open-job discovery and bulk enrichment. LeadMagic's docs list Cursor, Claude (Code, Desktop and the claude.ai connector), ChatGPT, VS Code with Copilot, Windsurf and others as supported clients, and state that the production server "uses OAuth exclusively" with static API keys not supported. It also ships a free preview_cost tool so an agent can price a bulk run before executing it. LeadMagic is one of the providers in Cleanlist's own enrichment cascade.
Prospeo MCP
Prospeo MCP is at mcp.prospeo.io with eight tools: search_suggestions, enrich_person, bulk_enrich_person, enrich_company, bulk_enrich_company, search_person, search_company and get_account_info. Prospeo's docs state authentication works over OAuth 2.0 or an X-KEY header on a local deployment, and list Claude.ai, Claude Desktop, "any MCP client that supports remote servers over HTTP," plus Claude Code, Cursor and Windsurf locally. Prospeo publishes its per-call credit costs in the same doc: search_suggestions and get_account_info are free, search is 1 credit per page, person enrichment is 1 credit for email only or 10 for email plus mobile, and company enrichment is 1 credit per matched record. Prospeo is also one of the providers in Cleanlist's enrichment cascade.
Amplemarket MCP
Amplemarket MCP is a remote server at mcp.amplemarket.com/mcp, added in Claude as a custom connector pointed at that URL. Amplemarket's docs state it "uses OAuth 2.0 for authentication… No API keys are needed," that any MCP-compatible client can connect, and that it covers people and company search, contact enrichment, lead list management, sequence building and enrollment, account research with engagement history, inbox threads and analytics queries. One gate worth knowing before you plan a rollout: Amplemarket's own doc notes Claude's custom connector feature "requires a Pro, Max, Team, or Enterprise plan." Amplemarket also publishes a 10-server sales MCP roundup scoring vendors 0 to 3 across five capabilities, in which it states "Amplemarket is the only platform that scored a full 15 out of 15," which is worth reading for its structure and worth discounting for its authorship.
SyncGTM MCP
SyncGTM MCP is an enrichment-first server that states it offers "45 Enrichment Actions" across person data, company data and signals such as job changes, promotions, leadership transitions, headcount growth, funding rounds, product launches and tech stack changes. SyncGTM lists Claude, Claude Code, ChatGPT, Codex, Hermes, Perplexity, Manus and Cursor as clients, and states it is "free to start, no credit card required." SyncGTM's Claude Code enrichment post claims 85 to 92% email coverage from a waterfall against 50 to 65% from a single provider, and a separate MCP roundup claims 87% email match rates in its own testing across 50+ aggregated providers. Both figures are self-reported by SyncGTM.
Do ZoomInfo and Lusha have MCP servers?
Yes, both ZoomInfo and Lusha publish MCP servers, and both are gated behind an existing paid relationship. ZoomInfo's MCP page states that your AI "uses standard OAuth to make ZoomInfo API calls on your behalf," lists Claude, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Replit "or custom AI agents" as clients, and advertises "100 AI and Data Credits in Claude for Free" as the trial. Lusha's MCP page states the server is "available for customers who have access to the Lusha API," that "MCP works locally with Claude, Cursor and more," and that a remote version connecting ChatGPT, N8N and Make is still forthcoming. Both are worth adding to a shortlist if you already hold a seat; neither is a practical starting point if you do not, because the data sits behind the same contract you already signed.
What is the difference between server-side MCP and in-context MCP?
Server-side MCP runs the data work inside the vendor's infrastructure and returns a handle or a summary, while in-context MCP streams every enriched record back into the model's context window. The distinction decides how far a single run scales, because context windows are finite and enriched contact records are verbose. Explorium markets directly on this axis: its July 3, 2026 ranking post by Omer Har claims "1,000 entities per call via the AgentSource API, no token-window constraint," and contrasts that with Hunter.io, whose "Domain Search caps at 100 emails per call." Those are Explorium's figures about its own product and a named competitor, not an independent measurement. Cleanlist MCP is server-side for anything bulk: paid work returns a workflow_id the agent polls, and finished lists move by CSV or JSON export or straight into your CRM rather than through the chat transcript. Ask any vendor which model they use before you plan a 5,000-row job.
How do I do prospecting with Claude Code?
Prospecting with Claude Code works by adding a B2B data MCP server to your Claude Code configuration, then describing the cohort you want in the terminal. Cleanlist ships as the npm package @cleanlist-ai/mcp alongside the hosted endpoint, and Apollo publishes a Claude Code plugin, so both work in a terminal session rather than only in the chat UI. The practical pattern: Claude Code reads your ICP definition from a file, calls search_people with structured filters, writes the raw matches to CSV, calls the enrichment tool on the rows you approve, and stops for confirmation at the signed quote before spending credits. Search costs 0 credits with Cleanlist, so the exploration loop is free and only the final enrichment bills.
How do I enrich leads with Claude?
You enrich leads with Claude by connecting an enrichment MCP server, then handing Claude a list and asking it to fill the missing fields. With Cleanlist that flow is: connect the connector, paste or upload a list of names and companies, and ask Claude to find verified work emails and direct dials. Claude calls the enrichment tool, Cleanlist runs the request through a 15+ provider waterfall, and results come back with a credit cost of 1 per verified email, 10 per phone, or 11 for a full contact. Cleanlist publishes 98% verified emails and 85% direct dials as product specs for that waterfall. The alternative is doing it without an MCP server: Claude reasons over your spreadsheet using web search, which is fine for company summaries and useless for phone numbers.
Can Claude find me leads?
Yes, Claude can find leads once a B2B data connector is attached, though the natural language happens on Claude's side rather than in the data API. You type "find me heads of RevOps at 50 to 200 person SaaS companies in the US." Claude parses that into structured filter arguments (job title, seniority, headcount band, country) and calls search_people. Cleanlist's people search accepts roughly two dozen distinct filter fields across job, location, skills, education, past history and company attributes, and it does not accept revenue, funding stage, technographic or intent filters, so cohorts defined on those axes cannot be built this way. Without a connector, Claude can research companies from the open web but cannot return verified contact records.
What is the best prospecting plugin for Claude Code?
The best prospecting plugin for Claude Code depends on whether you need list building or enrichment, and there is no single winner as of August 2026. Apollo publishes an official Claude Code plugin at github.com/apolloio/apollo-mcp-plugin, which is the shortest path if you already pay for Apollo. Explorium's Vibe Prospecting lists Claude Code as a supported surface and ships the widest company dataset of anything in the Anthropic directory. Cleanlist installs into Claude Code through the @cleanlist-ai/mcp package and is the option where searching is free and the spend cap is enforced server-side, which matters more in a terminal loop than in a chat window because agent runs there are longer and less supervised.
What is vibe prospecting?
Vibe prospecting is describing your ideal customer in plain English and letting an AI agent handle the search, filtering and enrichment, rather than clicking through a filter UI. The name borrows from "vibe coding," which Andrej Karpathy coined in a February 2025 post on X (CodeRabbit's semantic history tracks the term's spread). By 2026 it became a product category: Explorium ships a connector literally named Vibe Prospecting in Anthropic's directory. The honest caveat is that the "vibe" happens in the assistant. Every server on this list still takes structured filter arguments underneath. The agent is doing the translation, which means your results are only as good as the filter fields the vendor actually supports.
Does the Cleanlist MCP server work with ChatGPT?
The Cleanlist MCP server has no published ChatGPT setup guide today: Claude is the client Cleanlist documents and tests, connected through Settings, then Connectors, over OAuth with no manual key. Cleanlist also publishes the server as the npm package @cleanlist-ai/mcp, and the hosted endpoint at mcp.cleanlist.ai/v1/mcp is a standard remote MCP endpoint, so other MCP-capable clients can point at it. Cleanlist does not currently publish a supported setup guide for ChatGPT, so treat that path as unverified rather than promised. If cross-client coverage is a hard requirement today, Apollo states support for Claude, ChatGPT and Perplexity, Clay states ChatGPT, Claude and Codex, and LeadMagic lists six client families including ChatGPT and VS Code.
What does the Cleanlist MCP server cost per call?
Cleanlist MCP charges the same credits as the app and the API, with search costing nothing. A verified email is 1 credit, a phone number is 10, a full contact (email plus phone plus data) is 11, and a company enrichment is 1. Saving a newly added lead to a list is 0.5 credits, CRM or sequencer sync is 0.2 per lead, and Smart Agents range from 0.5 to 3 credits per lead depending on the agent. People search and company search cost 0 credits, which is the reason an agent can iterate on a cohort definition for free and only bill on the enrichment step. Credits come from your plan: 30 per month free, 1,500 on Starter at $79, 5,000 on Pro at $229, 15,000 on Scale at $599.
What are the rate limits on the Cleanlist MCP server?
Cleanlist enforces 60 requests per minute per organization and 30 requests per minute per API key, plus a hard ceiling of 60 People Searches per UTC day per key. The MCP tools call the same v2 endpoints as the REST API, so those limits apply to agent traffic exactly as they apply to scripts. The daily search cap is the one that surprises people: an agent looping over many ICP variations can exhaust 60 searches in a single long session, and the counter resets at UTC midnight rather than on a rolling window. Plan agent workflows to search broadly once and enrich selectively, rather than issuing many narrow searches. Enrichment calls are not subject to the daily search cap, only to the per-minute limits.
Which Cleanlist plans include the MCP server?
The Cleanlist MCP server is in beta on Cleanlist self-serve plans, and AppSumo licenses are excluded from it. Self-serve plans are Starter at $79 per month, Pro at $229 and Scale at $599, all with 25% off when billed annually, and every account starts with a free tier of 30 credits per month that requires no card. There is no separate MCP subscription and no waitlist: credits come out of the same organization wallet the web app and the REST API draw from, so an agent's spend shows up in the same usage view as a rep's. Note that the public REST API v2 has its own gate at the Pro plan and above, which is a different gate from MCP access.
Is my CRM data safe with an AI agent?
Cleanlist's MCP connection is OAuth-scoped and spend-capped, and here is the honest boundary of that. Connecting grants 14 OAuth scopes, you authorize from Claude Settings and can revoke there at any time, and paid bulk operations require a signed HMAC cost quote with a five-minute TTL before they run, so an agent cannot execute a large job you have not priced. Two caveats worth knowing: scopes are granted per user rather than per key, and new organization members are granted all 14 by default, so there is no read-only agent key today. Cleanlist does not publish a SOC 2 report or an uptime SLA. If your security review requires either, raise it before you connect a production CRM.
Connect Cleanlist to Claude
30+ tools, OAuth in two clicks, search at 0 credits, and a signed quote before an agent spends anything. Start with 30 free credits, no card.
Which MCP server should you choose?
Choose the MCP server that clears your actual bottleneck: Cleanlist for search plus verified enrichment behind one connector, Apollo if you already pay for Apollo, Clay if your GTM logic lives in Clay tables, Crustdata for hiring and social signals, Explorium for the widest company universe, and SyncGTM or LeadMagic for enrichment-only waterfalls. In more detail:
- You want search plus verified email and phone behind one connector: Cleanlist MCP. Search is free, enrichment runs the waterfall, and the spend cap is enforced server-side.
- You already pay for Apollo: Apollo MCP, since Apollo states any plan qualifies including free and it works in Claude, ChatGPT and Perplexity.
- Your GTM logic already lives in Clay tables: Clay MCP, so reps consume workflows ops already built.
- You need hiring, headcount and social signals more than contacts: Crustdata MCP, per its published tool list.
- You need the widest company universe inside Claude: Explorium's Vibe Prospecting, per the Anthropic directory listing.
- You are enrichment-only and want a large aggregated waterfall: SyncGTM or LeadMagic.
And the honest counter-case for Cleanlist: if you need webhooks rather than polling, a read-only agent key, a published SOC 2, more than 60 people searches per key per day, or cohorts defined by revenue, funding stage or tech stack, one of the other servers here will serve you better today. Our people search filters and API pages document exactly what is and is not supported.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a free MCP server for lead enrichment?
Several vendors publish a free entry point. Apollo states on its MCP page that "any Apollo plan qualifies, including free." Clay states new accounts get 500 free Clay credits on first connect. Crustdata states every new account includes free credits with no card required. SyncGTM states it is "free to start, no credit card required." Cleanlist's free tier is 30 credits per month with no card, though the MCP server itself is in beta on self-serve plans. In every case, free means free credits rather than unlimited use, and enrichment calls consume them.
Do I need an API key to use the Cleanlist MCP server?
No. You connect the Cleanlist MCP server from Claude by opening Settings, then Connectors, adding Cleanlist and authorizing over OAuth. There is no key to copy, paste or store, and you can revoke access from the same screen. The OAuth grant carries 14 scopes covering search, enrichment, lead lists, smart agents, CRM sync, export and usage. If you would rather run the server locally or wire it into Claude Code, the npm package @cleanlist-ai/mcp points at the same hosted endpoint at mcp.cleanlist.ai/v1/mcp.
Can an AI agent overspend my enrichment credits?
Cleanlist blocks that with a signed-quote model. Any paid bulk operation requires the agent to first call the credit estimate endpoint, which returns an HMAC-signed quote_id with a five-minute time to live, and the job will not run without that quote. In practice the agent tells you what a run costs before it runs it. Two other guardrails apply: search costs 0 credits, so the exploratory part of the loop is free, and the rate limits of 60 requests per minute per organization and 60 people searches per UTC day per key cap how fast any agent can move. LeadMagic publishes a comparable free preview_cost tool, and Clay lets admins set per-rep credit limits.
Does the Cleanlist MCP server support webhooks or job-change alerts?
No to both. Cleanlist's v2 API has no webhooks, so asynchronous work returns a workflow_id that the agent polls until the job settles, and the MCP tools inherit that behaviour. There is also no job-change alerting or watchlist: "recently changed jobs" exists as a query-time filter, so an agent can ask who has changed jobs, but nothing will notify you when someone in an existing list moves. If push notifications on job changes are the requirement, evaluate servers whose vendors publish a monitoring or watcher capability, such as Crustdata.
Which sales MCP server has the most tools?
Crustdata publishes the largest single tool count of the servers reviewed here, stating 40 tools across company data, people data, jobs, social signals, web research, monitoring and account utilities. SyncGTM states 45 enrichment actions, though it frames those as actions rather than MCP tools. Cleanlist publishes 30+ tools mapped one-to-one onto its REST v2 endpoints. Prospeo's docs list 8. Tool count is a weak proxy for usefulness: a server with eight well-scoped tools over a good dataset will beat forty tools over a thin one, so test against your own ICP before you decide.
