The short version

Yes, ZoomInfo has an MCP server. It runs at mcp.zoominfo.com/mcp, signs each user in with OAuth, and works in Claude, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Perplexity, Cursor, Claude Code and Codex. ZoomInfo's docs list 23 tools: search, lookup and similar-contact tools are free, enrichment costs 1 data credit per new record (up to 10 per call), and research agents spend AI credits. It is read-only toward your CRM. The server comes with every ZoomInfo subscription at no extra cost, and a new account gets 1,000 data credits and 1,000 AI credits once. We make Cleanlist, which also ships an MCP server, so read this as a vendor's review.

Facts checked October 1, 2026. Every ZoomInfo fact below comes from ZoomInfo's MCP documentation on gtm.ai, its MCP solution page and its Pipeline blog, each read on October 1, 2026. ZoomInfo's AI documentation lives on gtm.ai, a ZoomInfo domain. We did not run a prospecting project through ZoomInfo's MCP for this review, so there are no accuracy numbers here.

Does ZoomInfo have an MCP server?

ZoomInfo has an official, hosted MCP server. ZoomInfo's docs give the endpoint as https://mcp.zoominfo.com/mcp for Streamable HTTP connections, and it answered with an authentication challenge when we sent it a request on October 1, 2026. Each person signs in with their own ZoomInfo login over OAuth; teams that need shared access can use a service account instead.

ZoomInfo ships the server as native apps and connectors. Its Pipeline blog post of July 27, 2026 lists Claude, ChatGPT (every ChatGPT tier), Microsoft Copilot Studio, Perplexity on paid plans, Slack, Amazon Quick and Gemini Enterprise, plus plugin or custom entries for Claude Code, Codex and Cursor. ZoomInfo also publishes an MCP plugin on GitHub and a Microsoft connector.

What can the ZoomInfo MCP server do?

ZoomInfo's MCP server is built for account and contact research. ZoomInfo's tools reference lists 23 tools in five groups:

  • Search: Lookup (valid filter values), Search Companies, Search Contacts, Search Intent, Search Scoops.
  • Enrich: Enrich Companies and Enrich Contacts (up to 10 records per call), Enrich Company Signals (intent, news and scoops for up to 10 companies).
  • Discover: Find Similar Companies, Find Similar Contacts, Find Recommended Contacts.
  • Audiences: Browse Audiences, Get Audience, Upsert Audience, Manage Audience Columns, Manage Audience Rows, Audience Analysis.
  • Research and context: Account Research, Contact Research, Conversation Intelligence, Browse Engagements, GTM Context, Update GTM Context.

ZoomInfo's solution page says Enrich Contacts adds verified email, phone and professional attributes. Its docs put coverage at 100M+ companies and 500M+ contacts. Intent tools only work if Intent Topics are configured in your subscription.

How do you connect ZoomInfo to Claude or ChatGPT?

ZoomInfo connects through each AI client's connector store. ZoomInfo's three steps: open the connectors or apps menu in your AI client, find and enable ZoomInfo, then sign in with your ZoomInfo credentials over OAuth. In Claude Code, Cursor or another developer client, you add https://mcp.zoominfo.com/mcp as a remote server.

Three details matter for admins. ZoomInfo's Admin Portal enables or disables MCP per user. Each user needs a personal ZoomInfo account, and ZoomInfo's FAQ says shared logins lose personalization in the research agents. And the tool list refreshes at session start, so restart the session when ZoomInfo adds a tool.

How much does the ZoomInfo MCP server cost?

The ZoomInfo MCP server costs nothing on top of a ZoomInfo subscription. ZoomInfo's Pipeline post says it comes with every ZoomInfo subscription at no additional cost, and its docs name Sales, Copilot, Studio and ZI Lite subscriptions with data credits available.

ZoomInfo also runs a free entry point. Its docs say a new account gets "1,000 data credits and 1,000 AI credits" once, at signup. ZoomInfo's solution page advertises a smaller offer of 100 free AI and data credits for Claude and ChatGPT users, so the two pages disagree; the docs give the larger and more specific figure.

ZoomInfo publishes no list price for its subscriptions. Its pricing page served us no figure on August 22, 2026 and refused our request on October 1. The best public benchmark is Vendr's buyer guide: a median of $33,500 a year across 1,574 recorded purchases, from $7,220 to $155,730. Our ZoomInfo pricing guide has the full breakdown.

What does a prospecting session use in ZoomInfo credits?

ZoomInfo charges two kinds of credit through MCP. Data credits pay for enrichment: 1 credit per new record, 1 per new company signal, and 1 per new record loaded into an audience. AI credits pay for research agents: ZoomInfo says most Account Research and Contact Research calls cost 5 to 15 credits, and Conversation Intelligence at least 9.

A typical session that searches for 25 contacts, enriches all 25 and runs Account Research on 5 target accounts uses 25 data credits (three enrichment calls at the 10-record cap) and about 25 to 75 AI credits. Search, lookup and similar-contact discovery are free. Re-enriching a record is free for 12 months, because ZoomInfo keeps an enriched record "under management" for that window.

Does ZoomInfo have a Copilot add-on price?

ZoomInfo does not publish a price for Copilot or any other edition. Copilot is one of the subscriptions ZoomInfo's MCP docs name as eligible, alongside Sales, Studio and ZI Lite. Any Copilot figure you see online is a third-party report or a quote, so ask ZoomInfo for a written quote and check it against Vendr's ranges before you sign.

What are the limits of ZoomInfo's MCP server?

ZoomInfo's docs are unusually open about the limits:

  • No CRM write-back. The docs say the MCP server "doesn't write to your CRM or run bulk exports and batch enrichment pipelines." Writes are limited to ZoomInfo audiences and GTM context.
  • Ten records per enrichment call and one account or contact per research call. A 500-row list takes 50 calls.
  • Recurring monthly credits don't work. "Some older subscriptions carry recurring monthly credits," and MCP can't draw from them. Those accounts need bulk data credits first.
  • No sending. There are no sequence or email tools, so outreach happens in another product.
  • No published rate limit on the pages we read.
  • Annual contracts. Outside the free credits, access rides on a ZoomInfo subscription with no public price.

Who is the ZoomInfo MCP server good for?

ZoomInfo's MCP server is the strongest pick for enterprise account executives and account managers who already pay for ZoomInfo and want research inside their AI assistant: briefings on an account, buying signals, recent scoops and what was said on past calls. ZoomInfo is the only server in this review that ships intent search and scoops as tools, next to its research agents and conversation intelligence. The 12-month free re-enrichment window also suits teams that revisit the same accounts all year.

It fits less well for small teams without a ZoomInfo contract, for teams that want the assistant to write into the CRM or a sequencer, and for anyone building lists of hundreds of contacts at once, where 10 records a call gets slow.

How does ZoomInfo MCP compare to Apollo, Clay and Cleanlist MCP?

The four servers below are the ones B2B buyers ask about most. Facts come from each vendor's own docs, read October 1, 2026.

Our Apollo MCP server review and Clay MCP server review cover the other two in the same depth, and the best MCP servers for sales and GTM covers CRM and sequencer servers too.

Where does Cleanlist's MCP server fit next to ZoomInfo?

Cleanlist publishes this page, so treat this section as a disclosed vendor entry. Cleanlist runs a remote MCP server at mcp.cleanlist.ai/v1/mcp with 30+ tools for people and company search, enrichment (verified work email and direct dial), lead lists and export, with names such as search_people, search_companies and enrich_person. You describe the list in plain English and the agent turns it into search filters. Search is free; a verified work email costs 1 credit and a direct dial 10, and a lookup that finds nothing costs nothing. Each lookup runs a waterfall across 25+ data providers. Our own 500-lead benchmark measured 98% verified work email and 85% direct dial.

Cleanlist sells monthly plans with public prices, and MCP is included from Starter at $79 a month. The 14-day trial and the Free plan do not include MCP, so ZoomInfo's 1,000 free credits are the easier way to try a sales-data MCP server at no cost. Cleanlist has no intent data, no research agents and no built-in sequencer today, and it is not yet in the Claude or ChatGPT directories: you add it in Claude as a custom connector and paste the OAuth client ID Cleanlist gives you into the advanced settings.

Pick ZoomInfo if you already pay for it and want research, signals and intent inside your assistant. Pick Cleanlist if you want verified emails and direct dials for a list, on a monthly plan with a published price. The Cleanlist MCP product page shows the setup, and our plans are on the pricing page.

Frequently asked questions

Is the ZoomInfo MCP server read-only?

Mostly. ZoomInfo's docs say it does not write to your CRM or run bulk exports. The only writes are saving audiences, loading your own records into an audience, and updating GTM context.

Does ZoomInfo MCP return phone numbers?

Yes. ZoomInfo's solution page says Enrich Contacts adds verified email and phone data. Each newly enriched record costs 1 data credit.

Can I use ZoomInfo MCP without a ZoomInfo subscription?

Yes, to start. ZoomInfo's docs say a new account gets 1,000 data credits and 1,000 AI credits once at signup. After those run out you need a subscription with bulk data credits.

What is gtm.ai?

gtm.ai is the ZoomInfo domain that hosts its MCP documentation and AI products. The MCP endpoint itself is on zoominfo.com.
